We create this fundraiser with heavy hearts for our beloved Katie. Katie put up a heck of a fight for over a year and a half against Small Cell Cervical Cancer, a rare, under-researched, and aggressive disease. Although the battle seemed impossible, Katie had a positive mindset and kept pushing forward.
She continued working towards her future goals, graduating with a Veterinary Technician degree during this time. She also fought to raise critical funds to support research development for Small Cell Cervical Cancer and support the women faced with the same diagnosis and limited treatment options.
Despite the fear and uncertainty associated with her diagnosis, Katie maintained high spirits and continued to focus on the needs of those around her. Katie was an amazing daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She was passionate about animals and nature, and left a memorable impression on every person she met.
On August 2nd 2018 , we lost our beautiful Katie. Saying that Katie will be missed is an understatement. Katie will always be remembered as a warrior and an inspiration.
Please donate in memory of Katie Tynan. Your donations will contribute to funeral costs and help ease the financial burden of Katie’s family during this very difficult time. Amounts received beyond coverage for funeral expenses will be donated to Small Cell Cervical Cancer research and support.
