Back in April, I trusted Paws of Paris pet grooming (in Odessa) with Katie to get a "bath, brush, and nails" done. Instead of coming home happy and clean, she suffered a traumatic injury while in their negligent care. She is now unable to use her front leg, leaving her disabled, in pain, and unable to enjoy the active life she was accustomed to living.

To walk, run, and play again, Katie is requiring orthopedic surgery from a veterinary specialist in Dallas (no one in Odessa-Midland has the surgical experience), followed by intensive post-operative rehab.

Katie, an 8-year-old Shetland Collie, has been my documented Emotional Support Animal and Service Animal. She is not just "property", she is my daily lifeline and constant comfort.

It appears a legal battle is in our immediate future to hold the insurance and groomer responsible and accountable. But the legal system doesn't move near fast enough, and Katie’s pain and discomfort cannot wait. She needs this surgery like yesterday.
