Katie Brown’s Brain Surgery Funds

Donation protected
After months of constant suffering and headaches, 30-year-old Katie Brown, wife and mother of 2, was diagnosed with a nerve disease (trigeminal neuralgia). (Trigeminal neuralgia is a chronic pain condition that affects the trigeminal nerve, which carries sensation from your face to your brain. If you have trigeminal neuralgia, even mild stimulation of your face may trigger a jolt of excruciating pain.)  And if that wasn't bad enough, they also found a brain tumor.

Even though the tumor is benign, it must be removed or the headaches will continue and Katie could go blind in her right eye.  A surgeon in Houston has agreed to do the surgery and while they have insurance to cover the removal of the tumor, they are raising money to cover travel expenses, the medical deductible, child care, and the expenses related to staying in Houston for 2 weeks after surgery.   Additionally, Katie is expected to be out of work for at least 8 weeks for recovery.

Her surgery to remove the tumor is scheduled for the first week in April and she could really use your help!  Your donation will mean so much to Katie and her family!
