Katie Baba's Medical Expenses

Our sweet little love bug, Katie Baba, was in a horrible accident while vacationing in the Bahamas. The family is currently working on getting her home where she will be taken to a hospital in Ft. Lauderdale - where she will most likely undergo multiple surgeries due to the severity of her injuries.

Right now we know she has a broken back in multiple places, a broken shoulder, and a broken leg.

Our sweet girl does not have insurance, so lets do what we can to help this lovable lady. You know if you have ever been in need, Baba was most likely there trying to help in any way she could. Now its our turn to help her!!

We are trying to collect as much money as possible and as soon as possible because she is still stuck in the Bahamas and we need to get her home.  Anything at all helps, if you arent able to donate, a simple prayer is still  appreciated. Thank you very much.

A little bit about the people behind the scenes, how the money will help, and how it will be distributed. 


My name is Molly Williams, I started this page along with the help of Eleanor Carter in order to get Katie Baba's medical expenses taken care of. I was born and raised in Athens,Ga. I was working at Nowhere Bar when George W. Massey hired Katie Baba. We became friends instantly. Katie has helped me through the death of my father, heartbreaks, and other problems I have faced since I have known her. Eleanor is originally from Atlanta, Ga but has lived in Nashville, Tn for a while. Eleanor has been friends with Katie since 2010. And like me, Katie has helped Eleanor through dark times and has pulled us both through the dark. Myself and Eleanor are working together with a number of other people to get our girl taken care of. Just a few of the folks working with us are George W. Massey, Cameron Harrelson, Abbey Branch, Chris Pagdgett, Coran Henry, Alace Fraley, Micki Windham, Morgan Hanna, Sam Bellflower, Jonathan M. Sims, Ali Funk, Megan Patton, and many many more.

All of the money we raise for Katie will be going to the cost of her air transport from the Bahamas to Augusta, Ga, the ambulance cost from the airport to Doctors Hospital, the surgeries she has had and will need, all medical services provided and future physical therapy that she will need once she is released from the hospital.
Right now our goal is to put the funds towards the $19,000 air transport back to the states.

Eleanor and I have set up an account with Athens First Bank and Trust, in Katie Baba's name that Katie will have direct access to. Since we made the account for her, Katie's mother, Donna and her father, Mickey have place us directly in charge of the account. We will withdraw money to this account for all medical debts, the main one being the air transport.
