Help Kathy Sins: Medical Expenses

To know Kathy Sins is to know one of the kindest, most generous souls on the planet.  Now, Kathy needs our help.  

Kathy was recently diagnosed with lung cancer, with a large tumor that is pressing on her heart, causing atrial fibrillation.  Heart problems, pneumonia, and emergency hospital stays at Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix have already generated hospital bills that total more than $40,000... and that's before starting aggressive rounds of radiation treatment and chemotherapy. 

As a retired educator, Kathy's health insurance offers minimal assistance and we are asking you to join us in helping ease her stressful financial burden.



You may know Kathy from her many roles in the community:

- A 30+ year teaching career, both at the high school and college levels; perhaps you were one of her students or a fellow teacher at Phoenix School for the Deaf, Phoenix Union High School District, or Glendale Community College.

- An award-winning clay artist whose studio has been open to friends and fellow artists alike.  Her giving nature and love for helping others to achieve their creative dreams is unbounded.

- A lover of dogs and supporter of dog rescues, Kathy has been an integral part of the Pets on Wheels program, taking her "Three Amigos" on visits to assisted living facilities twice a week, for many years.

Kathy is devoted to people, dogs, and her church; her friends sometimes joke that she was born to be an "extreme giver."  It's what she knows and she lives by her passion for helping.
