Kathy's Accident Recovery Fund
On December 30th my mother, Kathy, called me shortly after she had left my house from watching my daughter, as she usually does on Wednesdays, and I knew it wasn't good. She had just been in a car accident, she was hurt, and the ambulance was on its way.
It happened at the intersection of Oregon St SW and Fauntleroy at about 2:15 pm as my mom started going eastbound through the intersection on a green light a woman driving a big Tahoe ran a red light going Southbound and totalled my mom's little car.
I rushed to the scene to be of assistance to my mom and saw just how bad the damage was. I was shocked my mom was still able to move. She was immediately taken to Harborview for her injuries. After CAT scan MRI and x-rays she was admitted shortly after for her injuries and to be observed. She ended up with 2 broken ribs, a concussion and a huge hematoma, causing lots of pain and uncomfortability.
The recovery time is estimated to be about 6 to 8 weeks during which she will be needing help covering her living expsenses, transportation, any legal fees and doctor co-pays while she is recovering. She is such a wonderful mother and grandmother who dedicates a great amount of time to her family and deserves peace of mind and security during her recovery. ❤
We all are so grateful she is still alive. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated!
