Kathy Murray’s Funeral Expenses

Our fun, outgoing, giving, loving, hardworking, funny friend, Kathy Murray, has passed away today from bile duct cancer. From the first symptom to her last breath, only three months had passed. Her and her family’s focus was on fighting this, which she did with courage, strength, faith and incredible positivity. She was the strong, positive, upbeat person that we know and love right until the end. 

On Friday, I asked her what she needed, none of us knowing she’d be gone so soon. She simply replied, “I’m looking for the practical. I don’t need “things.” I need to be sure there’s money to cover the funeral expenses. We don’t have that money. We never budgeted for that. I need to know that my family doesn’t need to worry about those costs.” So, for those of us who desperately feel the need to do something because of our love for Kathy, and for all she’s done for each of us, please consider a donation, no matter how small. She was so full of life and so gregarious just a few months ago and now she’s gone. Too soon. And her family is reeling from that reality. Let’s do whatever we can do lessen that burden on them.
