Kathy Keane Memorial Bench

Our dear friend, Kathy Keane, passed away last August in Baja California. We all know of her passion for being outdoors and exploring the natural world. Kathy was a pioneering biological consultant who did excellent work on behalf of Least Terns and many other wild creatures, much of it here in Long Beach. As a tribute to Kathy, and her many contributions to our local community, we are raising money to establish a bench and memorial plaque. The bench will overlook beautiful Alamitos Bay. We are raising $5,000 to cover the standard costs of the bench, as required by the Long Beach Marine Bureau. Our goal is to complete the process by June 2018. Any excess funds that might be raised would be donated to one of Kathy’s favorite charities. We appreciate your consideration, and thank you for donations in any amount.
