Kathy Bussell is an amazing, beloved Traverse City community member and friend to anyone who knows her. Sadly, she is fighting breast cancer for the second time. Since the recent diagnosis, Kathy has remained positive and kept her head up high. She is a survivor, and she will get through this with the help of friends.
Kathy is a woman who does kind things for people—without any expectation of it being returned to her. She is the type of person who sees someone on the street looking like they’re having a rough day and asks, “Hey there, are you doing okay? What can I do to help?” Now Kathy really needs our help.
Kathy is the loving mother to Kaitlyn, Bridget, and Haley; a friend to many; a vibrant soul; and a bright light that illuminates any room she is in. Please consider helping Kathy financially as she has medical bills looming from the three surgeries needed for her recovery. Kathy’s first surgery is August 9th.
Kathy is a dedicated, hard-working, extremely organized and proactive employee. All those who work with her are continually reminded of her intelligence and competence. Her good cheer and quick wit make her an asset to the large community organization she effectively runs.
Kathy does have insurance, but like many people, her deductibles are several thousand dollars each. She has had to quit her second job, which she relied heavily on for extra money. Kathy would never ask for a handout- she is a capable, do it yourself kind of woman. But please we implore you—no one should have to do this alone. We are her friends and family, and we know that this will make a huge difference for her. Please give what you can for a wonderful friend, mother, daughter, sister, employee and neighbor.
