Katherine "Kat" Perry Cancer Fund

We see gofundme accounts all the time and sometimes we just scroll over them, if it's someone close you may share it or maybe even donate. And we still fail to plan ourselves for when the unexpected happens. Life has a way of slowing us down so we can focus on what is truly important which is FAMILY.  We laugh, we fight, we cry, we may even go through spans of not speaking to one another  but through it all we love each other.

And That's just it! We love Katherine "Kat" Perry. When you love someone you take a risk even to share the story with a complete stranger in hopes that we can save her life.  This story starts on May 14, 2017 Mother's Day. Typically on Mother's Day was we pay homage to all mothers. Celebrating them for all that they do for us each and every day. This Mothers Day changed our lives as we knew it. Kat was not feeling well for majority of the day however she continued to push through to make the best of the day in spite of how she felt. By the next day Kat was moved to tears due to the pain racking her lower abdomen. She then began to hemorrhage and was rushed to the ER.  Our minds were racing and everything around us was an organize chaos. We looked on as the nurses ran taking the orders  the doctor gave. IV's, oxygen tubes, blood pressure monitors and everyone is running back and forth, talking in unknown medical terms. We were pushed to the waiting room trying to stay optimistic. Praying and waiting, waiting and praying.

There  doctor told us that they saw a mass in Kat's uterus. We believed that God would be able to preform a miracle and what every the doctor saw that it would be  gone. Nethertheless it's not our will but God's will. We just prayed for the best as that's all we could do. The report came back with the unthinkable news....Kat has Stage 4 cervical and uterine cancer and if that wasn't enough it has metastasized to the bone. The older you get the more you realize life is too short. Kat is only 49 years old she has two sons to raise.   Kat has been in and out of the hospital ever since the report was given. She has been unable to work. Her job doesn't offer FLMA, and insurance isn't covering much of anything these days. Every day there is a new medical bill, a new prescription, and new step of providing care to keep Kat comfortable. Kat and her youngest son are currently living with her sister. At the end of the day family is all that we have.

Can you imagine having someone in your life everyday since you were born and the reality becomes they might not be there? The funny thing about cancer is that often people never walk for a cure, post a gofundme until it strikes their family. Our prayer to the person reading this message that you will never have to experience this level of grief. For the ones that cancer has stricken your family we are praying for you as we now understand your pain. Please Give in the memory of your love one that you may have lost to Cancer. Please give as if this was your Mother, Sister, Aunt, Niece, or Cousin. We will continue to pray for your family as we ask that you pray for ours. One is never afraid of the unknown, one is afraid of the known coming to an end. Many Blessings To You And Yours!
