Friends and Family, 

It is with deep sadness that I announce the sudden passing of Katherine. She was found in a terrible accident on the night of August 22. 

Katherine was sweet and strong, graceful and independent. She embodied her country's essence.  She breathed pura vida and drank the weight of the world with such ease. She loved without needing to know why or how - it came naturally to her. Kathe burned without ever burning out, always moving forward, always looking ahead. And most importantly she gave whole heartedly. She shared herself, her cooking, her heart, and her family with anyone who asked. 

Kathe would be humbled knowing we think of her every time it rains too hard or the sun peaks from clouds. We carry her in us by never allowing a sunset go unnoticed or taking the time to appreciate the quaint little cows that she loved so much. She lives in those moments of beauty she so often pointed out. 

All donations will go directly to Doña Isabel (mother) and Brayan (brother) to pay for funeral/memorial expenses. Thank you for your continued love and support during this incredible difficult time.
