Spreading Knowledge:Teaching in Malawi

Last year I had the opportunity to travel to Malawi and teach to a school of over 4,000 students. I went with a small group of educators, founded by the charter Teach for America Corps in SC. We called the group IMPACT, because we wanted to reach out and make deeper relationships with teachers and community members in our region. We decided our end goal should be a service trip to Malawi. We soon found Erin, the founder of With Change in Mind. After we went to Malawi and made lasting relationships, I could not imagine not going back to continue the work we started. I learned so much from the community members all around SC and Malawi. I hope others will gain as much as I did from this trip for years to come.
