Kate's Journey

Let me introduce you to the wonderful Kate Scorgie, the second daughter of my best friend Leesa. She was a classic growing up, always making us giggle, it was just her way. She grew into a fun loving, easy going, and down to earth girl at the time in her life where the world is at your feet. That is until the fateful day when Kate and her families world was turned upside down and life as they know it would never be the same. Kate was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL), usually found in children from 2-10 years old, and Kate is just 16. This form of blood cancer thank goodness is very treatable but it is a long road to recovery, not seeing much change out of 1st year of treatment and 2.5 years before recovery. This puts a big strain emotionally and financially on any family because of the constant care and setbacks. We have started this go fund me to help lessen the burden financially and give Kate a boost to plan for her unbelievably exciting future.
