Hello everyone. Chris and his mother have been struggling with medical issues for a very long time now. However, just about 1 year ago, Chris's mother had a stroke and was admitted to the hospital. Since that time, the things that the family has had to go through include but are not limited to:
- A fall in the home while alone, leaving Mrs. Katerinakis confused with broken bones. We suspect she was on the floor for over 3 hours.
- 3 different surgeries, one that failed when trying to put a stint in one of her arteries.
- Ultimately, a heart attack which occurred only 2 days ago. She went into cardiac arrest, and her brain was without oxygen for at least 15 minutes. Doctors are testing to see if she has any brain activity.
She has also been on dialysis for years now.
I am making this GoFundMe in hopes that I can raise a little bit of money for Chris and his family to help with their medical bills. At the moment, it is not looking too good for Mrs. Katerinakis, and I know that Chris has been doing everything in his power to try and keep his mother alive and as healthy as possible. He is one of the nicest, most caring individuals I have ever known, and I am wanting to support him in his time of need. In some of his hardest times, he has always been there for me, even with all the stress with his mother; now I want to be there for him.
I will be sure to post updates about his mother, and ultimately what the outcome is. Any little bit we can raise for the cause is better than nothing.
