Katelyn has been nominated to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum in the field of Engineering.
At this eight-day program, she will learn why the core principles of engineering and problem solving are critical to innovation and success in the 21st century. And receive invaluable information from industry experts and experience engineering careers through site visits, lab tours, and simulations, all of which will help Katelyn make informed choices about her future career in Engineering.
Katelyn graduated Middle school with a 4.0GPA, Principal’s Honor Roll as well as the Future Leader Award. When she began 9th grade Katelyn enrolled in English Honors, Algebra 2 as well as Intro to Engineering Design Honors class. She joined the Multimedia and Engineering Academy and is striving to earn the Academic stole after completing the program and achieving certain requirements for all 4 years of her High School Career. Katelyn has also joined 3 clubs at her school, Mathletes, Girls who Code and Ballroom dancing.
My daughter is a hard working young lady, she’s kind and helpful. Katelyn takes pride in her academic achievements and always aims to succeed, from the smallest of projects to the biggest life hurdles.
Thank you kindly for watching the video and all of your support. We are looking to raise the funds for the program in the amount of $3700. The tuition for NYLF Engineering includes housing, on-campus meals, supervisory personnel, program materials, all program activities, site visits, a Certificate of Completion and local transportation during the program. As well as $200 to receive 2 College Credits through George Mason University. We are hoping to raise the $2000 with GoFundMe and cover the rest ourselves the best we can.
