Kate's Medical Bills & Expenses

Kate has been experiencing severe stomach pains and fatigue ever since she returned from Thailand in January.  After seeing a few different doctors and getting no answers, she ended up in the ER on Saturday, March 14th. They discovered that she had fluid in her abdomen and on her lung (ascites). She spent 4 nights in the hospital, while they ran a bunch of tests to determine what was causing this fluid buildup. Kate has been diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She is being treated at the West Clinic and has just received her first chemo treatment. 

We've set this fund up to help Kate defray her medical and living expenses, while she is going through treatment.  As you know, she is self-employed and there will be stretches of time when she won't be able to work as much as she normally does.
