Katana & Torren's Hawaii Band Trip

The McNary Wind Ensemble was selected to perform at the Pacific Basin Music Festival in Honolulu, HI in 2018. Katana, a Junior and 3rd year Wind Ensemble clarinetist, and Torren, a 1st year Wind Ensemble percussionist, were both invited to attend the music festival with the band. In order to travel to the festival and represent McNary High School, Salem-Keizer School District, and the State of Oregon, they will each need to raise a total of $2000. These funds will go toward the cost of airfare, hotel, ground transportation, event fees and meal expenses.
Katana and Torren have each raised about $250 toward the total cost by participating in fundraising events such as car washes, collecting cans and bottles to return, and working odd jobs this summer. The will continue to work to earn money during the school year but one of the most effective ways these students can raise money is by acquiring sponsorships that go directly toward the amount needed. Most fundraisers only give 30%-50% profit and the consumer gets some type of product or service in return. With a sponsorship, the majority  of the money goes into the fund.  Please consider being a sponsor. Any amount will greatly benefit these students!
