<div>Noah's Little Ark – Animal Protection Society Chania wurde 1993 von Silke Wrobel (76) gegründet. Silke, eine Frau aus Norddeutschland, zog in den 1980er Jahren nach Kreta und widmet sich seitdem unermüdlich dem Schutz von Tieren. In fast 40 Jahren hat sie bereits Tausende von Tieren gerettet.

<div><strong>Die aktuelle Situation</strong>
</div>
<div>Für die meisten Katzen auf Kreta ist das Leben hart und täglich eine Herausforderung. Silke und ihr Team setzen sich mit aller Kraft dafür ein, das Leid der Tiere zu lindern. Eine der effektivsten Methoden, um das Tierleid langfristig zu verringern, ist die Kastration. So lässt sich die unkontrollierte Vermehrung stoppen und das Leid durch Hunger, Krankheit sowie Revierkämpfe wird eingeschränkt.

<div>Kürzlich wurden mehrere neue Katzenkolonien entdeckt, die dringend unsere Hilfe benötigen. Um die Situation nicht außer Kontrolle geraten zu lassen, müssen wir schnell handeln!

<div><strong>Unser Ziel</strong>
</div>
<div>Um noch mehr Leid zu verhindern, müssen die betroffenen Tiere so schnell wie möglich kastriert werden. Ohne diesen Schritt würde die Katzenpopulation unkontrolliert anwachsen, was eine Versorgung komplett unmöglich macht. Die größte Kolonie befindet sich auf dem Campingplatz Agio Apostoloi. Insgesamt müssen rund 80 Katzen kastriert werden.

<div><strong>Was benötigen wir?</strong>
</div>
<div>Für die Kastration müssen die Katzen eingefangen, beim Tierarzt behandelt, nachbetreut und anschließend wieder an ihrem gewohnten Futterplatz ausgesetzt werden. Die Kolonien erhalten weiterhin die nötige Versorgung.
</div>

<div><strong>Who We Are</strong>

<div>Noah's Little Ark - Animal Protection Society Chania was founded in 1993 by Silke Wrobel (76), a compassionate woman from northern Germany. After relocating to Crete in the 1980s, Silke dedicated herself to animal welfare, tirelessly working to protect and rescue animals. Over the past four decades, she and her team have saved thousands of animals in need.

<div><strong>The Current Situation</strong>
</div>
<div>Life for many cats on Crete is difficult, marked by daily struggles for survival. Silke and her team are committed to alleviating the suffering of these animals. One of the most effective ways to reduce long-term suffering is through neutering, which prevents uncontrolled reproduction and curbs the suffering caused by hunger, disease, and territorial disputes.

<div>Recently, several new cat colonies have been discovered that urgently require our help. To prevent the situation from spiraling out of control, immediate action is necessary!

<div><strong>Our Goal</strong>
</div>
<div>To prevent further suffering, it is crucial that the affected animals be neutered as soon as possible. Without intervention, the cat population will grow uncontrollably, making it increasingly impossible to care for them. The largest colony is located at the Agio Apostoloi campsite with around 30 cats. In all new colonies we have approximately 80 cats that urgently need to be neutered.

<div><strong>What Do We Need?</strong>
</div>
<div>To carry out the neutering process, the cats must first be captured, treated by a veterinarian, and cared for until they are ready to be returned to their usual feeding locations. The colonies will continue to receive ongoing care and support.

<div>We urgently need donations to make this crucial project a reality. With your help, we hope to achieve our Christmas miracle and provide these animals with a brighter future!
