Karolyna's FIGHT to Live!
Karolyna had been feeling very weak and, among other symptoms, also suffered from severe headaches, nose bleeds and was developing bruises for no apparent reason.
After several months, she was diagnosed at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego with low blood platelets or Immune Thrombocytopenia Púrpura (ITP).
Her doctors are recommending that she receive 2 or 3 blood transfusions every week for approximately the next 3 months.
Due to lack of money for several weeks, she was unable to receive the blood transfusions. During this time, she was virtually bed-ridden.
Thanks to a few very generous donors, she has again begun receiving 3 blood transfusions each week. Unfortunately, the donated funds are almost gone and she needs additional donations so that she can continue her critical transfusions.
This condition has been life-changing for Karolyna and incredibly stressful for her entire family.
