Karla Sweet Taylor Fund

Karla Sweet Taylor is known and loved by many.  She has given of herself in so many ways, during her selfless life.  She however was given unsettling news when admitted into the hospital kidney stones and a urinary tract infection.  She has been informed that she has stage 4 Lung Cancer which has spread through out her body, including her hip, spine, skull, and liver. This diagnosis in a healthy person would be an enormous challenge.  Unfortunately, Karla is not strong enough to fight this obstacle that was thrown at her and the doctors have stated that in her current physical condition her body can not withstand chemo.  This is devastating news to the entire family, friends and community that have been touched by Karla!  Jim and Karla have been married for 37 years (Sept 12), this is not only devastating emotionally but also financially.  Karla was exposed to chemicals many years ago which made it so she was not eligible for an appropriate amount of life insurance to cover the hospital bills or services.   Karla has been an active member of the Phelps community for over 40 years, she volunteered her time not only to the community she loves, but also to her friends and family whenever there was a need. She would give rides, food, babysit, dog sit, help clean, basically she wanted to be a blessing to others in any way she could.  Now, unfortunately she is the one that is in need.  If you have experienced her amazing sense of humor, her charming smile or have been affected by her unwaivering generosity and selflessness we ask you to assist by donating, praying and loving each other as Karla has.
