Karin's Fight for Justice

If you've ever been on our street, you know it is unique.  We all know each other's names and stories, and are  more like extended family than neighbors. We have shared joys and sorrows, goofy times, and somber times. We ban together.  We support and help and pray for each other. There is nothing we haven't felt we could overcome as a little neighborhood. Until now. That is why I want you to meet, and need you to meet, our neighbor and good friend Karin. Karin and her husband and young son Anthony moved onto our street in 2004.  They welcomed sweet Allie in 2007.  Through a turn of events, Karin has been a single mom raising her two children and working full time for the past 18 months.  She has near full custody,  and since she is the breadwinner, pays alimony and all the bills without any help from the one who once stood by her.  While some divorces are amicable, Karin's has been quite the opposite.  She has endured slander and many harsh words during this process.  She has not received any of her limited court-ordered support (which does not cover daily expenses). She has tried to smile and put on a brave face for the children and at work, while still taking time to support her mother through recent cancer treatment, and encourage others who have needs. Their finances were tenuous before the separation, but that situation has multiplied greatly.  Her bills are mounting.  Her car is in need of repair.  Barring a miracle, she will lose her house, which means more change for the children and great sadness for our little street.  She wonders day by day how to pay her expenses. Legal fees are astronomical due to the strained circumstances .  Her financial resources are depleted, and she anticipates needing a lot more money before the divorce is finalized, as a trial is likely.  So we are asking for your help.  Help to finish this long and painful process and preserve stability for the children and allow them to move forward.    Karin's anticipates needing $ 18,000.00 to finish the divorce.  She needs a good portion of the money by August 1.  Any amount you can provide would help.   We would also appreciate you sharing this on your social media sites and telling others of Karin's situation.  She also needs your prayers.
