Why compete in the Mrs. Colorado Pageant?

Beauty is a state of mind. Beauty begins within and radiates out.  Beauty is finally loving, trusting and accepting yourself just the way you are.  Beauty is the gift of being fully alive and enjoying the adventure of life!

I have always struggled looking in the mirror and judging the reflection looking back at me.  I was never good enough, nor attractive enough.  I always felt overweight at awkward.  Competing in a beauty pageant was always a secret dream of the younger me that never believed it to be possible.

Over the past year I have experienced a radical transformation within myself.   As I dug through layers of self-doubt and self- criticism, I began to find the beauty that was buried deep within.  I finally began to understand who I was designed to be and love myself with all my flaws and insecurities.

As I step into my 50s I want to be a role model for women of all ages to find their inner light and beauty.  It is never too early and it is never too late.

In the last year I have lost nearly 65 lbs of physical, emotional and mental weight. At 50 I feel healthier, more alive and more beautiful than I ever have in my entire life!!

Why not rekindle the dreams of a younger me?

In many ways I feel like the ugly duckling that finally allowed myself to turn into the beautiful swan.

Although the Mrs. Colorado Pageant is a personal journey – I cannot do it alone, nor do I want to.   As you support me – I will also support you!

Many people have asked me “what did you do to achieve the transformation you experienced?” 

My Answer: “Knowing and Living my Human Design.”

What is Human Design?  It is quite literally showed me the blueprint of who I'm designed to be.  It showed me how to best make decisions, how to best utilize my energy, how to accept my imperfections and take advantage of my strengths.  It helped me finally find the true beauty that lies within.
