Karen’s Medical Boot Camp

Hi, I’m raising funds for my friend Karen. She is at Mayo Clinic for the 2nd time this year. She has severe health issues that have impacted her whole life and the last few years have been especially brutal. She’s been diagnosed with many things including Dysautonomia, a dysfunction of the nerves that regulate nonvoluntary body functions, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and sweating. She recently found out that her Dysautonomia is at a very critical stage. All the vital organs have been on overload and are shutting down and the severe tremors and all the things that come with those are due to the brain trying to overcompensate for the other organs not doing their job. Again, no cure, but will try to find a treatment plan which requires an all day regimen for at least 3 weeks. The doctor said it was going to be extremely tough and then they would see what the plan would be after the Boot Camp.

Karen began the boot camp this week which consists of all day therapies for the body and mind. It costs over $50,000. While insurance will hopefully pay some, they are not sure what exactly it will

cover. Karen is desperate to get her life back and is fighting with all she has.

Please consider donating to help her cover the costs of this. They will be at Mayo for over a month trying to get her to the point that she can at least function during the day. She has been an elementary teacher for 16 years and having to take a break from that last year for health reasons was incredibly difficult.

Karen is exhausted physically and mentally. Helping fund the boot camp will go a long way in relieving some of the financial stress. And please, keep praying.
