Help Support Karen & Ed McLaughlin

On March 2, during the nor'easter, Ed Mclaughlin was struck by a falling tree as he was exiting his car. As a result, he suffered a traumatic brain injury. He is currently in the ICU on a ventilator. At this time, we are not sure of his prognosis.

Ed is a long-time resident of East Norwich, NY. He is a Military Veteran having served in the US Army during the Viet Nam War era. Ed was an active Leader in the Boy Scouts for many years. He mentored many young men on their way to the ultimate award of Eagle Scout. He was also involved with the Rough Riders Lacrosse from its early days, contributing much to the clubs development.

As we all know, medical expenses are not completely covered by insurance. Nor is there consideration for additional expenses incurred while caring for a loved one. The loss of Ed's income will compound the economic challenges for this household.

By contributing to this site, we hope to relieve Ed's wife, Karen and his son Kyle of some of their financial burden.

It is with great sorrow, to announce that on March 16 Ed passed away. His family and friends remember a great guy who always had a story to tell. A genuine person who loved his family, his cars, and his dogs. 
He will be missed.
