Karen's Fight

My name is Karly I am going start this fund to raise money to support Karen and the Okoorian Family.

I have been a part of the Okoorian family since Anthony and I became high school sweethearts.  Karen has been right there with me celebrating so many special events most importantly the birth of her granddaughter; my daughter Ava.

Anyone that knows Karen knows she is one of the most dedicated family woman that anyone could ever met, she is such a dedicated wife, mom, GMom, daughter, aunt, sister, cousin and friend! Karen has three beautiful children and a precious new granddaughter.

Five short months ago Karen was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer, shortly it had spread. Since then she has been forced to battle one issue after another.  Karen has been in and out of the hospital numerous times over the past couple months. She has undergone  Chemotherapy and Radiation to fight this aggressive cancer. Since then Karen has had other issues that are interfering with her treatment. 

Despite her situation, Karen has never once asked for sympathy and has continued to be the same spunky, determined, fighter that we all know and love.

By creating this page, we’d like for the Okoorian family to focus and be with Karen at this tragic time. It is our goal for her to receive the best possible care and be surrounded by the love of her family.  This fund will help with household bills, medical expenses, and future expenses that will occur to make Karen comfortable at home under care.
