Karen Paulin's funeral costs

Karen Elizabeth Paulin was born on October 23, 1962 and passed away June 23, 2020, peacefully in her home. She left behind 4 Children and 3 beloved Granddaughters.

From her family:

Our mother, Karen Paulin, was first and foremost, a care taker. She had a huge heart and from the birth of her first child at age 17, knew she was meant to be a mom. At 22, with 4 young children she knew what it meant to struggle and care for her family any way she could. She did this mostly alone, working several jobs at a time and giving her family every thing she could afford to. This love of caring for others didn’t stop with her own children. Her friends always knew her door was open to them for a cup of coffee or a last minute baby sitter and the neighborhood knew it too. Her houses were constantly filled with kids and noise and laughter. When her kids grew up and she was on her own at her home in the Bella Vista community, she would often sit and visit with a friend and spend hours talking or sharing a snack. She was almost never without something to say, a lot of it humorous. She loved to laugh almost as much as she loved making others laugh.

Even though she struggled with her own health, she was the kind of person to stop everything and take care of her first grandchild during the week when her daughter needed to go back to work, to visit a friend who was sick and needed help taking care of her dog, or buy groceries for someone who wasn’t getting enough to eat.

She never did anything in half measures. She always wanted people to know she cared for them. She loved so deeply. She loved her 4 children, Jennifer, Gary, Sarah, and Adam. She loved her 3 grandchildren, Lillian, Violet, and Brooklynn. She loved animals. All animals, especially dogs. She taught her grandchildren to love and respect animals and nature. She loved her friends. There was never a stranger she came across, that she wasn’t ready to make her friend.

Words can not express how much she was loved and will be missed. She was our mother and our hearts will forever have a hole only she could fill.

Since her passing was unexpected, and she was not a person of means, she had not planned for anything. In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate any donations toward the cost of her burial.
