<div>Our mom is the heart of our family. She is the kind of person who shows up for everyone, no matter what she is going through. She is warm, selfless, and endlessly strong.

<div>A few weeks ago, our world turned upside down when we found out that her breast cancer had returned after nearly a decade. Only this time, it had silently spread to her bones, liver, and stomach lining. She is now facing a diagnosis of metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer, with complications that have even made eating difficult.

<div>She spent over a week in the hospital, enduring test after test with unshakable courage. Watching someone you love fight through pain while still trying to smile through it is heartbreaking in a way that is hard to put into words.

<div>We are starting this page to keep our beloved friends and family updated, and also to help ease the financial burden of what will be a lifelong treatment plan. That includes chemotherapy every three weeks, regular scans, and follow ups monthly. We are also hoping to begin cold cap therapy during her infusions to help reduce hair loss. The cost for this alone is over $2,400, and unfortunately it is not covered by insurance. While it might seem like a small detail in the middle of so much, being able to keep even part of her hair could help her feel a little more like herself in a body that is already going through so many changes.
