Karen Brownsberger Gordon Memorial Fund

Karen Brownsberger Gordon was a compassionate teacher who taught kindergarten in Title one schools in Anchorage, Alaska. She worked to create a safe and loving environment where children could flourish and learn. Karen would purchase illustrated children's books to supplement the school's library and nurture her students' love of reading. She would buy mittens, snow pants and boots for students lacking proper winter gear. The funds for her memorial would go towards purchasing illustrated children's books for Northwood Elementary School (where Karen taught) and winter gear (Hats, boots, mittens, snow pants) for children in need.
