Karen and Denny Blakely need a roof

We were both born and raised locally, and love the community we are a part of.  We live in a wonderful community of people who are always helping others.  Today we are the ones asking for help.  Our request for help is because we need to fund the 2nd half of our roof that has started leaking.  We had the other half done after the big storm in 2007, which caused damage to the roof and exterior of the house.  The total amount for the repairs needed is $5,000.  We had some money set aside to help get the roof done until our transmission went out on our car, depleting our savings.  Denny and I are both chronically ill with a host of things that are wrong with us.  Most of our income goes to medical bills, trips out of town for medical appointments, lots of insurance payments, cost of living changes for our monthly expenses, and much more.  We hope that you will find it in your hearts to donate to our cause.  We know a lot of people in this community, and have friends and family who live in this area too.  We are reaching out to everyone to help us so the we don't have a leaky roof when the rains set in for fall and winter.  We thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for considering our needs.
