Kareem's COVID Café Cabaret (Kareem's CCC) is a night at the theater, paying homage to musical theatre's overall inclusive nature. Kareem and his team have put together an hour long program and presentation intended to be virtually broadcasted for the public's enjoyment. The program consists of solo, small ensemble, large ensemble and dance numbers from musicals such as Rent, West Side Story, Little Shop of Horrors, Once on This Island and more! This program is directed, filmed, choreographed and performed predominately by DMV natives (black and white, male and female) all varying in artistic and performance background and experience, united by their desire to express their love and appreciation for art, also emphasizing art's essentiality; especially during trying times like COVID-19.
I worked on this performance film with an out-of-pocket budget; Yes, everything funded by ME! I would like to make some of that money back for future artistic endeavors. I will also be moving to Philadelphia in August to pursue my Master of Music degree in Vocal Arts! Anything counts. So, please be encouraged to donate to this artistic accolade, for we all have worked so hard to offer you an enchanted experience.
