Kara's car died in a fire :(

My name is Harlean, and I'm starting this page for my friend Kara, who is loath to ask for help even though she is ALWAYS first in line to offer what help she can give to others.

She is one of the kindest, smartest, most hardworking humans I've ever had the pleasure to encounter. A single mom, working and going to school while raising a great kid, both of them struggling with health issues, she had plenty on her plate already, and then her car caught fire. Literally, caught fire while she was driving it.

The car has been totaled and now must be replaced. Financing a vehicle will result in insurance payments that are simply not feasible, so buying outright is Kara's only viable option at this point. She has found the right car at a good price, and has some of the funds from the settlement on her previous car, but still needs the help of her community.
