Karah's Fight to Survive

Donation protected
Tragically, without any warning a new mother, wife, daughter, niece, sister, friend, and coworker is fighting for her life.

Karah Sipe immigrated to Canada from the Philippines in 2011.  She married the love of her life Francis in 2015.  After a long, anticipated time apart, Francis arrived in Canada to be with the love of his life Karah in August 2016.  Soon after, the couple became pregnant with their first child.  A beautiful little girl.  Both were so excited and happy to become parents.

Unfortunately, on April 3, 2017 at 2 am, Karah was rushed to the hospital after complaining of a horrible headache. Shortly after arriving, it was determined that Karah had suffered a hemorrhage in the left side of her brain which rendered her unconscious.  A drastic decision had to be made and a beautiful little girl, Ives Sipe, was born 8 weeks early weighing only 3 lbs 12 oz.

Surgery was done and fortunately Karah has pulled through and has been transferred to the ICU.  Ives remains in the NICU and will remain there for an undetermined amount of time.  All that is known at this moment is that the left side of Karah’s brain is extensively damaged.  As of right now, the outcome is unknown.  Karah’s parents still live in the Philippines and every line of communication is being utilized to ensure they are up to date with what is happening.

As many can imagine, if Karah pulls through this horrific tragedy, there will be months of recovery. Francis will have to take an extensive amount of time off work to not only care for his wife, but his brand new beautiful baby girl. This will have a huge economic impact on their family.

Please help this family and beautiful new mother in any way you can.  A family who is going through this shouldn’t have to worry about making financial decisions of any sort at this time.

Please keep Karah and her family in your prayers.

Thank you and God Bless.
