As many of you know, my sister Kara and her boyfriend Justin recently packed their things and made their way from LA to Florida to start a new journey. Having only been in Florida a week, they found what seemed to be a perfect rental home in St. Petersburg Florida. Their pod arrived with all of their things and they started unpacking only to discover one issue after another with the home.
As if that wasn’t enough, on Wednesday evening only two days after stepping foot into this home for the first time, hurricane ETA has made its way to St. Petersburg. The rain started right after they got all of their things in the house. But it didn't Stop until the morning after.
Their first night sleeping in this new home
Finally with all of their items and they barely got to sit down. They spent the night blocking the doors and stacking furniture up to salvage at least something!
Kara was contacted by the Tampa Bay Area news casters and this is the article explaining what’s going on.
To say they are devastated is an understatement. Not to mention flood insurance doesn’t matter since they were so new to this home and nothing transferred yet.
Now with most of their things saltwater logged and completely ruined. They are starting fresh. Packing their things and staying with a friend until they can get settled.
Being so far away my family is desperate to tryand help them. So literally anything, even a dollar, is a dollar they don’t have.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and help out my beautiful sister kara and her amazing boyfriend Justin. They do not deserve this.
