Kara and Isaiah Williston Fund

In the early hours of Sunday August 12, my little brother Justin passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at age 28. Father of two and sole provider for Kara (age 6) and Isiah (age 8), Justin was committed to his children. It’s a resounding memory across family and friends - he showed up every day for those kids - and that is a difficult thing to do given the struggles Justin dealt with personally. We are deeply saddened and shocked by his sudden death, and are working quickly to establish a new normal for Kara and Isiah.

This is where you come in. We need your support for the children’s longer term needs. This might look like accessing grief and trauma therapy, play groups; practical needs like school supplies and extracurricular camps; unexpected medical bills. We don’t know exactly right now, but in lieu of flowers, an account is set up in the children’s name at CP Federal Credit Union to access when it is needed. All donations made here will be sent to that account. 

Immediately they are staying with their paternal grandmother (Melody). A plan for longer term home life is being worked out. Updates about Kara and Isiah will be shared here.
