We are the Golden Seals, a passionate group of 7th graders from Olathe School District, Kansas, and we have an exciting opportunity ahead—we’re heading to the FIRST LEGO League World Championship in Houston!

After months of hard work, innovation, and teamwork, we won the KC FIRST LEGO League Regional Championship, earning the chance to represent our community on a global stage. Competing against teams from over 65 countries, we will showcase our skills in robotics, engineering, and problem-solving—all while embracing the Core Values of FIRST: teamwork, discovery, and inclusion.

The Greater Kansas City region has two rounds of competition, the first round is the Qualifier, where 25% of participating teams proceed to the next round, the Regional. Only a single team from the Regional is selected to advance to the World championship. In the 2024-25 season, there were a total of 165 teams in the Qualifier round and 38 teams in the Regional round.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, but we need your help to make it happen! Traveling to Houston comes with significant expenses, including flights, lodging, and other fees. Your support will help us bring our passion for STEM to the world stage and inspire the next generation of young innovators.
