Helping Kamryn Kick Cancer
Donation protected
On March 4, Kamryn had a biopsy performed on a lump that was found in her right breast in early January. "On March 6, as I was getting ready to walk out of my front door for work, my surgical oncologist called and said it was ductal carcinoma. In my first appointment with my oncologist, she gave us an official diagnosis of Stage 1 ductal carcinoma. On March 18, I finally received word that it was HER2- and I don’t have to have chemo. What a praise!! I will have surgery on April 16th to have a bilateral mastectomy with reconstruction."
Kamryn will be out of work for at least 6 weeks with her initial surgery, then additional time with future surgeries. Allen just began his journey in CRNA school at Southern Miss.
Kamryn has touched so many lives—poured into so many children at our school and in our community. Be it through coaching softball, basketball, teaching and giving teens the opportunity to see what is out there for their future, to teaching little ones how to dribble a basketball for the first time, she has spent hours on end away from her precious family. Everything she did, she did it all with a smile and radiated Jesus—always boosting the kids, no matter the outcome. This is our time to give that back to her and her family. Prayers are always a MUST, and God will work out the rest. Bills will get paid, food will be provided...that is just how He works. Let's just take as much financial pressure off of Kamryn and Allen so that this journey to kick cancer is light and easy.
