In spite of the necessity to self-isolate during the Covid-19 crisis, millions of Indonesians can’t afford to stay at home given their jobs and financial obligations. Our front-line medical personnel are under-equipped, while millions of low-income families and other financially vulnerable groups of people must bear the consequences of having their livelihood cut off.
Let's show our solidarity by helping our brothers and sisters during this great crisis. Through our campaigns, your donation will be used to purchase medical equipment and other essential products for our brave medical personnel, volunteers and other at-risk individuals who are affected by the Covid-19 crisis.

Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) is a non-profit organization based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Established in 2005, ACT is one of the most recognizable organization in Indonesia that focuses on providing humanitarian aid during natural disasters and other crises. To date, ACT has helped more than 46 million people with close to 500,000 volunteers and presence in 76 countries worldwide. For more information about ACT, visit https://act.id/home/in.
Who are the beneficiaries:
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus in Indonesia, ACT has been proactively helping the community cope with the crisis. ACT is currently raising funds to provide personal protective equipment for medical personnel in:

>Rumah Sakit Gatot Subroto
How will the fund be used to help in fighting Covid-19:

ABOUT THE FUNDRAISERS
Permai BC Association is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver BC and we are partnering with local Indonesian communities in British Columbia to collaborate as one Indonesian Diaspora community in this initiative. Visit our website for more information (http://www.permaibc.ca). In this campaign for ACT, we are partnering with Pengajian BC.
Pengajian BC is a local community group of Indonesian Muslims in BC that aim to foster collaborations, unity, and family-hood through social and religious Islamic activities.
Pengajian BC is the main contact organization for this fundraising for ACT and working directly with Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) in Indonesia. All proceeds of the fundraising will be processed by the treasurer of Pengajian BC, Ms. Dina Yustiandiari, before being donated to our ACT partners.
A global threat such as Covid-19 requires a global community collaboration.

We decided to choose these charities in Indonesia to raise funds for the effort to mitigate and reduce the damage COVID-19 has done to everyone in Indonesia, especially the health care workers and also low-income families who are susceptible due to lack of resources and hygiene protection (such as masks, disinfectants, etc).
