Kameryn’s FFA Project Donation

Hi, my name is Kameryn Thompson, and I am a 14 years old freshman at Arroyo Grande High School. This year is my first year of FFA, and I have taken advantage of all the leadership opportunities available to me through this great organization. After watching my sister participate in FFA, and market 3 swine, I was excited about having my first project. I worked all summer babysitting to save money for my Hampshire pig, Squishy.

I have been working very hard for the past 3 months. I feed my pig twice daily at 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. I take pride in raising my animal ethically, and to provide a high quality product. In addition to caring for her needs, I also wash and brush her, but my favorite responsibility is walking her. Unfortunately, I will be unable to show her walking skills at this year’s Santa Barbara County Fair, due to the COVID 19 cancellation.

In efforts to regain my investment, and to continue to raise money towards my future FFA projects, I will be accepting bids starting now, through Friday, June 19th. Minimum bid will start at $1000. Buyer will be responsible for picking up and the processing of the pig. To submit a bid, please email ​[email redacted]. the amount. Bidding will close 6/20/20 at 12 pm PT.

If you are not in the market for a pig at this time,  you can contribute to offsetting my expenses and saving towards future FFA projects through this Go Fund Me page.
