Kamalika's Hope

If you know Kamalika, you know she has been doing these crazy river Polar Bear Plunges for years now. Well her madness has a reason. She intuitively found the cold conditioning to fight her depression after a divorce and the death of her father. Then a year later in 2014 she was diagnosed with brain cancer, she was introduced to the Wim Hof Method from her friends in the Polar Plunge group. Basically the 3 pillars are mindset, cold conditioning and breath work. Case studies have found amazing benefits for those suffering from autoimmune disorders and depression. She used these methods to help heal her body and brain after surgery and through chemotherapy. After Kamalika’s life threatening cancer she has changed her life's work to being more involved with assisting in others healing. Oh and did you know that when Kamalika was going through her cancer treatment she volunteered for Grace Hospice, Waterloo Art Gallery and All Faith food pantry? She is not only a kick ass single mom of two amazing kids, she is dedicated to service. Kamalika is now developing her new career, which involves working hands on with those suffering from Alzheimer (still using her art degree). Also with the Wim Hof Method and other outdoor health and wellness modalities. She pulls from the methods she has used to get through brain cancer and depression to help assist others in their healing.


Kamalika has just finished the Advanced Level Module in the Wim Hof Method, but now she needs the help of you to finish the Master Level and become the first female Wim Hof Teacher in Ohio. Kamalika has to finish the Master Level in Washington State on August 25th (her birthday), so she is asking for your help to get her there. Ironically the closing of this fundraiser will be on the anniversary of 5 years from her seizure that lead her to finding the cancer and her 5 year MRI. She is terrified and excited at the same time. She wants to pursue her life’s dreams and LIVE really live. Setting this goal to complete this certification is giving her so much hope that she will continue to be a healthy, strong, unique, beautiful soul on this earth.
