Greetings Beloved Family and Community,

Kalpulli Texas Quetzalcoatl is celebrating our 1st anniversary consolidated as a nonprofit 501(3), and we are raising funds to secure a space for continued offering cultural and ancestral practices. Kalpulli Texas Quetzalcoatl strives to educate through indigenous traditional practices that regenerate communities’ relationship to the land.

Our Elders have been caretakers of this ceremonial land in South Austin since the early 2000’s and they have bestowed that responsibility to us as communal inheritors of this land. We are seeking much needed funding to make some infrastructure improvements on the land, as well as maintain the place. As many of you know, the road can easily get flooded which limits our access to the space. We were recently offered the opportunity to repair the road at a discounted cost and we want to take advantage of this generosity! Additionally, we would like to secure the acquisition of the adjacent Ceremonial Dance space so that we can continue to offer those prayers to the land and leave it for our future generations.

Many of you have come to this land and attended ceremonies and/or participated in our community events. We humbly ask for any donation you may be able to offer so that we can offset the costs of having this beautiful ceremonial land open to the public!

Thank you all so much for your support! An improved road and access to our land will benefit all of those currently in the community, those that are yet to come and those that will come after we are long gone.

Kalpulli Texas Quetzalcoatl está celebrando nuestro 1er aniversario consolidado como una organización sin fines de lucro 501(3), y estamos recaudando fondos para asegurar un espacio para seguir ofreciendo prácticas culturales y ancestrales. Kalpulli Texas Quetzalcoatl lucha para educar a través de prácticas tradicionales indígenas que regeneren la relación de las comunidades con la tierra.

Nuestros ancianos han cuidado este terreno ceremonial en el sur de Austin desde principios de la década del 2000 y nos han encomendado esa responsabilidad como herederos comunales. Buscamos la financiación necesaria para realizar mejoras de infraestructura en el terreno y mantenerlo. Como muchos saben, el camino se inunda con facilidad, lo que limita nuestro acceso. Recientemente nos ofrecieron la oportunidad de reparar el camino a un precio reducido y queremos aprovechar esta generosidad. Además, nos gustaría asegurar la adquisición del espacio adyacente para la danza ceremonial para poder seguir ofreciendo estas oraciones a la tierra y legarla a las futuras generaciones.

Muchos de ustedes han visitado este terreno y han asistido a ceremonias o participado en nuestros eventos comunitarios. Les pedimos humildemente cualquier donación que puedan hacer para que podamos cubrir los costos de mantener este hermoso terreno ceremonial abierto al público.
