Kaliann's 1st Hip Surgery

When Kaliann was 1 year old she was diagnosed with infant hip dysplasia little did we know that 4 years later we would be putting her through 2 surgeries. Her first surgery will be Mid- February and the next surgery date will be set after recovery. They will take a chip off of her pelvic bone and use it as a wedge to deepen the hip socket. She will then be in a Hip Spica Cast for 4-6 weeks. As separated parents we are struggling with the overwhelming emotional and financial burdens. Each day more and more expense’s pop up that are not covered by our health insurance such as... lay down harness for transporting Kaliann to and from her doctor appointments, wheel chair ramps to be able to get her into our home, fuel and lodging to be near her during surgery and recovery and other necessary appointments (in San Diego), she will have to use a special bed pan her cast will be from her chest to her toes with a small opening.. she will also need a tutor because she will not be able to attend school. As young parents we are very embarrassed to ask for help at this time of need.. We have a long emotional road ahead of us and any support and prayers are much needed. Thank you and God bless!
