KALC Black History Month!

Marcus Garvey warned us that a "people without the knowledge of their past hisotry, origin and culture is like a tree with no roots." Considering the lack of culturally relevant curriculum, and the slow erasure of our past, the consistent vilification of our people, and the continue injustice we face, perhaps this warning is more relevant than ever. Black History Month is dedicated to reversing this trend. We take this month to create a sense of unity, pride and understanding of Blackness and all that the Diaspora encompasses.
