She played a major role at the FIBA U15 Womens Oceania Cup 2024 where Tonga earned a bronze medal and secured a place in the 2025 U16 Asia Cup. During the tournament she led her team in rebounds and blocks - and ranked among the top players across the entire event. Her standout play earned her a place on the Womens 'All Star 5 Second Team,' a major recognition on the international stage.

<div>In Auckland, Kakala continues to grow her game through the Tavake Pasifika basketball program. She has also been named to the Counties Manukau Basketball U18 Girls team list, a big step in her ongoing development. Kakala has now been invited to attend a recruitment camp in Victoria Canada with the University of Victoria Womens Basketball team at a Canadian university.
