Kaitlin's Mission Trips

Hello! My name is Kaitlin Lowe, and I'm a TongueOut Youth Ambassador. I've been on five mission trips, to Peru, Houston, Haiti (twice), and Vietnam, and I can't wait to embark on my upcoming trip to Vietnam and Thailand! On our mission trips we provide fundamental medical care, such as reading vital signs, conducting medical procedures, and providing people with necessary medicines. When we went to Peru, in addition to treating hundreds of families, we also built free wheelchairs for those in need, giving them freedom they hadn't experienced before. In Houston, we drove to neighborhoods affected by Hurricane Harvey and helped people clean out their houses. In February of 2018, I went to Haiti to provide medical care and spend time with orphans, and I was blessed to return in October of 2018. And in August of 2018, I went to Vietnam for the first time and visited several orphanages and homes for the disabled. It was in Vietnam that God truly tugged on my heart to see the least of these as fellow human beings with names and stories instead of statistics.
