Dear Family and Friends,

I hope this message finds you well, albeit under somber circumstances. We write to you today with heavy hearts and a pressing need for your support. It is with great sadness that we inform you of the untimely passing of our beloved Kaite Scott, who tragically left us on December 24th during a road trip to Louisiana with her husband, Melvin Scott.

Kaite and Melvin were on their way to celebrate not only Christmas but also their remarkable 50th anniversary with family in Napoleonville, LA. What was meant to be a joyous occasion has turned into a heartbreaking ordeal, and we find ourselves grappling with the unexpected loss of a cherished member of our community.

We are still in the process of working with the authorities to fully understand the circumstances surrounding Kaite's passing. During this difficult time, we kindly ask for your patience and understanding as our family navigates through the grieving process and seeks closure.

In the wake of this tragedy, we are reaching out to our friends, extended family, and community to request your support. Kaite Scott is survived by her devoted husband, Melvin Scott, and leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth through her four children: Shawyn, Jacque, Shadeja, and Alexander. Her memory is further enriched by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Your generous contribution will not only help us alleviate the financial burden of transportation and memorial costs on our grieving family but will also ensure that Kaite receives the farewell she deserves. Any amount you can give, no matter how small, will make a meaningful impact and be deeply appreciated.

We understand that times are challenging for everyone, and your thoughts and prayers are also greatly appreciated during this difficult period. We thank you for your compassion and support as we come together to honor the memory of Kaite Scott and offer solace to our family.

Services and care are being organized by Williams & Southall Funeral Home. Please feel free to contact them directly to make a donation.

With heartfelt gratitude,
The Scott/Bougere/Herbert Family
