Kain's 2nd ACL Surgery

Our poor baby. Most of you know Kain (the white pitty laying down) was born with very unstable knees and just had ACL surgery November 4 for his right leg and thankfully, the surgeon said that leg looks to be healing beautifully! But unfortunately, through no fault of his own, or ours, today he was diagnosed with an ACL tear in his left leg. He will be going back under the knife next Wednesday to fix this one.

It took everything in me not to burst into tears when the surgeon told me how bad it was. This is not a cheap surgery and considering we're still paying on his first surgery, when I asked my husband what he wanted to do, he said, "I think that Kain is the sweetest dog in the whole wide world and we need to get him taken care of." And he couldn't be more right. Please say a prayer, send good vibes, or put some of that good juju out into the universe for this boy.

Kain is our special boy. My husband found him behind an apartment building, locked in a crate, in the middle of the summer, malnourished, ears clipped, covered from head to toe in his own feces, and completely defeated. He brought him home, gave him a bath and ever since, he shows his gratitude daily. He is the most loving dog I've ever met. He holds no grudges, practices forgivess, and shows unconditional love and empathy. He is one of 5 dogs, so we need to get him healthy again to be 100% for the pack - especially for our newest puppy whom he has adopted as his own.
