Kailen had quite an impressive 2017-2018 season. She moved from New Jersey to Texas to train at Texas Dreams Gymnastics. Getting acclimated with a new team, a new home, a new school and new friends, all made for a very challenging year. Although a challenge, Kailen rose to the occasion.
Below are Kailen's 2017-2018 Season Competition Highlights (Level 9):
** Friends of Achievers Invitational: 1st beam
** Kim Zmeskal's Texas Prime Meet: 2nd beam, 1st bars
**Brestyan's in Las Vegas, Nevada: 1st vault, 1st All-Around (AA)
**WOGA Classic : 2nd vault
**Level 9/10 States: 1st vault - Texas State Level 9 Champion
**Level 9/10 Regionals - Denver, Colorado: 1st beam, 1st AA - Region 3 Champion
Kailen had such a phenomenal season and I am so proud of this young lady!! To reward her for her hard work and perseverance, I sent her to the Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics summer camp at Arkansas University. She trained in the same gym as the Arkansas Razorbacks gymnastics team and stayed on campus in the college dormitory. Kailen said that the camp was one of the highlights of her summer.
The 2018 -2019 Gymnastics season has started and we are looking forward to a very exciting year. Kailen is training Level 10, which translates to LOTS of new and more complicated skills to learn. Stay tuned for competition videos and score placements.
I am doing a GoFundMe for Kailen this season to help offset expenses for uniforms (leotard, warm up and backpack), air fare/travel, lodging and meet fees. Kailen will be competing in four away meets this season in Lubbock, TX, Orlando, FL, Oklahoma City, OK and the location for Westerns is TBD. No donation is too small, as every dollar moves her closer to her goal. We appreciate and thank you in advance for your continued support and prayers.
