GOAL SURPASSED! Emergency Neuro Surgery for Kaho
Donation protected
WITHIN 48HRS WE HAVE SURPASSED OUR GOAL!!!!!!
As of this morning, Feb 13th, we were sitting around a combined amount of $115,000 between GoFundMe and direct bank transfers. But some incredibly large donations from anonymous donors came through bringing the current grand total to $215,000!!! These funds will now be used to pay upfront what is needed to get the surgery happening!
GoFundMe funds which will still be held up for some days will aid toward the final hospital bill and Kaho’s needs as she recovers in the weeks and months ahead. SO PLEASE KNOW THAT ANY FURTHER DONATIONS MADE WILL BE ABOVE AND BEYOND and used for the many unknowns ahead.
True to the words at Isaiah 59:1 “The hand of Jehovah is not too short to save”!!!
Thank you so much for having made this happen! What a testimony to the global family we are!

Our dear friend Kaho Imai needs our help! She is a beautiful and compassionate 25 year old, who has devoted her life to supporting her friends and community through volunteer work. She arrived here from Japan on December 11th, 2023, to visit friends and to attend a Bible course.
On December 29th, 2023, Kaho was in a car accident and as a result, she was admitted to Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. She was experiencing extreme head pain, vertigo and nausea. It was discovered she had a brain hemorrhage. Two weeks later, while in Toronto Western Hospital, she suddenly lost her vision. Despite her ongoing pain and inability to see, on January 27th, 2024, Kaho was discharged due to the fact that there were no funds to cover further treatment.
Kaho is in immediate need of neuro surgery in order to save her eyesight and relieve her debilitating head pain and dizziness. Thankfully she has a surgeon who is ready and willing to perform the surgery, but sadly the accident insurance company may take months, if ever, to pay. She has been seen by multiple ophthalmologists and surgeons that emphasize that her vision loss is potentially reversible if the surgery is done quickly, so time is of the essence. She is not in a condition to return to Japan and at this time there is no known hospital in Japan that offers this treatment according to her beliefs.
Unfortunately, we have just been advised by the hospital that they will not schedule the surgery unless a down payment is made of $123,432.00. Feel free to ask to see the UHN estimate. The total amount of surgery and recovery costs will be an estimated $200,000. The initial $123,432 will be sent as a down payment directly to Toronto Western Hospital. The remaining $76,568 will be held until we receive the final bill from the hospital for the expenses incurred during recovery. Excess funds, if any, may be used for loss of work or transportation costs to return home safely. The account being used is in our name, Myla and Adrian Dresar. We are good friends and POA for Kaho. She is currently living with us while awaiting surgery.
We have been attempting to work with the accident insurance company, but we are currently at a standstill and are between a rock and a hard place at this time.
Thank you so very much for your loving support!
