Creek Fire House Destroyed

My name is David Garcia. On Tuesday Dec 5th my father Rogelio's house located in Sylmar off of Kagel Canyon road burned down, due to the Creek fires.  At 3am smoke alarms started blaring. The person in the house at the time looked outside to see flames eating at the fence. The power was still on allowing the gate to get open and her to escape safely. Thankfully no one was injured, however the total property was burned to the ground. My father has worked hard all of his life, and has spent years putting his heart and soul into restoring and building the property, creating a place for our family to make memories.  Now only brick steps remain.

While he is not the type to ask for help, I want to help relieve the financial stress this has caused him. He has nothing and is awaiting the aftermath of what this fire has caused,  we do not know how long the process will take or how much it will cost. Insurance is not covering the total property damage, leaving my father to cover the rest.


If anyone can provide information on building materials such as fences and clean up it would be greatly appreciated.  As everything was destroyed we are hoping to meet this goal or anything close to it as soon as possible. We will use the money to buy necessities, supplies, and to start cleanup and hopefully one day rebuilding. I humbly appreciate your prayers, anything donated, and thank you for taking the time to help a stranger.
