Kadryn Barton, born 09/23/2019, battling RSV.
This account has been set up to raise funds to help ease the pressure on the Barton family with baby Kadryn’s medical expenses and to assist with everyday bills while he is in the pediatric intensive care unit at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.
Kadryn, born 09/23/19, was diagnosed with RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus) on December 14, 2019. RSV attacks the lining of the airway and lungs. RSV can become life-threatening very quickly. Despite the efforts of Kadryn’s parent’s, Seth and Melissa, Kadryn was sent home after numerous doctors’ appointments and ER visits. Finally, Seth and Melissa were able to get Kadryn admitted into the hospital. Kadryn’s condition quickly became life-threatening leading to the transfer by ambulance to Peyton Manning Children's Hospital. Kadryn has been in the pediatric intensive care unit since December 18, 2019. While RSV may be a common illness before age 2, every infant experiences RSV differently. In Kadryn’s case, RSV has caused extensive swelling in his lungs and his airways have filled up with mucus requiring intubation. Kadryn has remained intubated (breathing tube down his throat) since December 18, 2019.
There has been little to no improvement in Kadryn’s condition as of December 22, 2019.
Seth and Melissa, Kadryn’s parents, remain by his side 24/7.
